About

I'm skilled at deploying and managing cloud-based applications, configuring AWS infrastructure, and automating the workflows that sit around them. Most of what I do lives at the intersection of DevOps and DevSecOps — pipelines that don't just ship code fast, but ship it safely, with quality and security checks built in rather than bolted on.

I'm currently focused on cloud and DevOps engineering, and I keep coming back to the same question with every project: how do I make this infrastructure scalable, reliable, and automated enough that it doesn't need me babysitting it?

Cloud-native e-commerce platform — DevOps & deployment lead

A full-stack e-commerce app built with Next.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, Tailwind CSS, JWT auth, and Redux. My job was everything after the code was written: containerizing it, building the pipeline, and getting it running reliably on Kubernetes.

Commit→ ESLint + Semgrep→ Build image→ Push to Docker Hub→ Argo CD sync→ EKS deploy

Built a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline with ESLint and Semgrep gates for code quality and security, before the image is built and pushed to Docker Hub with an updated manifest tag.
Ran the app on Amazon EKS using Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, StatefulSets, PVCs, Jobs, and Horizontal Pod Autoscalers — scaling automatically based on CPU utilization.
Set up Argo CD for GitOps-style continuous deployment, with automated sync, pruning, and self-healing against the manifests in GitHub.
Ran MongoDB as a StatefulSet with persistent storage, and handled schema migrations through an Argo CD PreSync hook Job that runs before every deploy.

Smart Backup & Recovery Automation

Cron-driven backup system

Manual backups are the kind of chore that quietly stops happening. I built a system that takes the human out of the loop entirely.

Scheduled periodic backups automatically with cron jobs — no manual trigger required.
Compressed backups into ZIP archives to keep storage usage down.
Set up automated retention that keeps only the latest 5 backups and deletes anything older than 30 days by modification time.
Added log management to track backup activity and clean up stale logs on its own.

Flask + PostgreSQL Deployment

Hardened CI/CD pipeline & EC2 deployment

A Flask app with PostgreSQL and Redis, containerized with Docker Compose and shipped through a CI/CD pipeline that treats security scanning as a first-class step, not an afterthought.

Built a modular, reusable GitHub Actions pipeline covering code quality, security scanning, image building, and deployment.
Validated code with Flake8 across multiple Python versions and ran Bandit for static security analysis (SAST).
Scanned dependencies with pip-audit and caught leaked secrets with Gitleaks; validated Dockerfiles with Hadolint and scanned images for HIGH/CRITICAL vulnerabilities with Trivy.
Automated image publishing to Docker Hub with branch, latest, and commit-SHA tags, then deployed to EC2 via SSH, SCP, and Docker Compose — all through GitHub Actions.
Put an Elastic Load Balancer and an Auto Scaling Group in front of the app to spread traffic across instances, cut latency, and scale capacity automatically as demand changes.
